so basically it isn’t likely for the ball to cross the mountain but its
    possible?

This channel is really annoying because it tells us lots of cool stuff but
then doesn’t give us enough explanation.

but the probability is so low that it probably wouldn’t happen if I throw
100 balls per second for the next 100 hundred years, right?

I’m not really sure I learned anything other than assumption.

Of course, saying something is governed by the rules of probability and
leaving it at that is saying we don’t know what’s going on; we don’t know
what the physical parts are and we don’t know how they interact, but here’s
the results that we can see.

    I still don’t understand

The process is known as “electron capture” and it is an important mode of
radioactive decay. In electron capture, an atomic electron is absorbed by a
proton in the nucleus, turning the proton into a neutron.

for physics, I need an hour, not a minute.

C’mon, all that electron wants is to be part of the nucleus cliché, guys.

    :40 small chance? how small? 1 in 10^50? 1 in 10^10^10^10^10?

I actually had to look that name up, and I’m proud that I had to. You watch
    that shit?

I believe it was Niels Bohr who said that if thinking about quantum
mechanics doesn’t make your head hurt, then you don’t understand it. So if
your head is hurting right now then that’s a good sign.

    What about Quantum Entanglement?

  21. DanMartinParanormal29 October, 2013 at 6:02 am

So then, how do you stabilize the Quantum Tunneling Effect so you can enjoy
    the never-ending toboggan-ride from hell?

So if I kick my football at a mountain, it can end up inside of it? 😉

  23. AlchemistOfNirnroot28 October, 2013 at 4:02 am

Is this due to the energy fluctuation?

  24. pr0N00bie27 October, 2013 at 8:17 pm

Its called Electron capture. You can google that 🙂

this is like the science way of the companies saying their stuff works
99.99% of the time and if it fucks up, u’re just the lucky one.
