Nowadays, South Korea made the best modern defenders of the world!

Great tense match and a worthy finals. I was happy hyowon won but felt a bit sorry for kasumi because of all the luck against her. I think hyowon is the first player I’ve seen who serves BH serves exclusively. Her last serve at match point was a perfectly timed surprise!!!

Nice tactical change-up on the very last point; no-spin fake chop serve, and the best moment to play it.

I agree. Get rid of those boom-cameras. They just make me dizzy.

Finally a woman (non chinese) modern defender with a really good offensive FH: loops, smashes, counterhits… if she had had a better mind attitude she could have likely won 4-1/4-2.
Terrible camera angle in my opinion by the way… it ruined the best rally. The best angle is the slightly lateral one: it gives strong dimensional sense…

It was not that high table tennis level like at the mens final with Xu Xin vs Ma Long but this was really, really thrilling action. I enjoyed it very much more than the short service/flick/scored matches of the chinese men.

I think the problem with Seo is that her chops are not as good as Kim, especially her forehand chops. However, her attacking skills are much better than kim. Therefore, the Korean National Team should try their best to train her chopping skills. I am sure she will definitely be a top 10 player if she has better chops.
