the brass is of no signifacance, its the amount of powder in the cartridge. once you put the cartridge in the chamber, its the chamber that contains the pressure, not the brass, since brass is such a soft metal.

I thought .410s were more dangerous in homemade guns than 45s because of lack of brass.

Really unique trigger setup….kind crossbow like, and very cool. I’ve seen lot’s of firingpin setups and yours looks like one of the best for a home gunsmith.

I’m getting ready to do a 12g build myself using a WWII Beretta SMG stock. Now that I saw your video, I’m rethinking my design to a bolt lock system like yours.

Could you shoot .45 colt out of this? The Taurus judge can shoot either, so I think it would work. The only issue is the pressure created by .45 colt loads.

Everyone blames guns for violence . The truth of the matter is that it is the evil recoil springs that do the deeds . I’d like to say this was massively more entertaining ( not to mention informative ) than tv .

    good for gun ban

  19. TheKittenish15 July, 2013 at 7:38 pm

Really? Because all you need to make a gun is a $5 worth of scrap metal. Don’t believe me? Look up “Zip Gun”. Could be made in 30 minutes.

THIS IS WHY GUN CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. A gun is not some scared object that can only be obtained through the years worth of manufacturing of some super secret laboratory. You need to understand that a firearm can be just as easily built as a damn hammer, or axe, or wrench, or whatever tool you have. Give anyone a few months, they could build an AR-15.
