Questions about the solar array. Are you afraid a storm might take out your whole system seeing as it is not bolted down? Where I live, all the solar setups are FIT (feed in tariff) were you feed back into the grid and not your own home, does your setup automatically switch between the regular grid and the solar panels when the solar power does not meet your own demand?

electricity is natures calorie free energy drink.

anyway do not get the battery bank, you will never recoup the cost in power savings due to the short lifespan of the batteries. A friend of mine has one (small 500 watt solar panel system) (mainly to offset the idle power usage of the various electronic devices via additional outlets installed) Batteries became useless after 4 years.

Cant wait until super capacitors come out for solar panel kits.

You need gimbals for your solar panels.

Hey guys, we don’t have a battery bank in the house. It was going to cost over $10k, so we are just grid connected.

This means in the day we use what we generate and sell excess to the power company, at night we pull from the grid and use our credit.

John P, which type of batteries you are using for your house solar arrays? Lead-acid batteries or lithium based batteries?

Why don’t you use some sort of intellectual system to manage house electricity with all those lightning? I mean some smart-home systems like control4 or anything else. And by the way, good question was here: what is the battery capacity of the solar system?

Do you have battery cells to store energy for night and cloudy time?
I would like to see you riding that kayak testing the new setup. It would be a heck of a fun.
for the 3 circuit breaks on the roof. Try to cover them or have like a sort of umbrella thing for them. It’s gonna be hard to switch them down overtime.

Big question I have, why do you not tie the TV into the sound system you are installing for the SONOS?

setup the shop with piping for the compressed air. Use LED lights in the florescent lights, wifi connection. Install a maxjak car lift system by Dannmar, 1080P camera security system set to record on motion. 🙂
