When you apply the silicone between the glass are you accounting for the gap of it when determining the glass size you need ?

    Hi Uarujoey,
I have a 29 gallon fish tank with the stand. I would like to build a fish tank with 30″L, 12″W, and about 22″ to 28″H so basically a 37 gallon fish tank to will fit on the same stand to save money. Were can I find all the supply’s? Also I want to build it with the bottom of the tanks glass pushed up like a normal tank comes from the store with those black plastic peaces on the top and bottom. I say that because the stand comes with a 2*4 peace sticking up to hold the tank from move

reanna u use u razor blade to get off silicone where u don’t want it, preferably I like a good little bit on the edges because I’m making it and it’s probably not gonna be as sturdy as a typical store bought fish tank. keep looks in mind as silicone will be seen. u can get a square at any hardware store and even a Wal-Mart probably. I know it sounds questionable it is called a square, don’t be discouraged if you can’t find it haha.
