Great video, but the timelapse should have been a separate video. As it is,
    it’s pretty superfluous.

+Tested Can we have video like this but for RC Drifting?

perfect timing for this video since I’m going to be building one in January

Carlos seems like such a nice guy. Thanks for coming in to show us this,
your passion definitely comes across strongly. As the Oculus rift takes
off, I can tell FPV quads will become very popular. Can’t wait to try this
out sometime if I get the chance. Thanks again Carlos & Tested.

I’ve always been interested in quadcopters, and the racing vid really
ignited a spark! Though building one seems way cooler than buying one.

I wonder btw if this would be able to carry a NEX-5 with 18-55 lense. I
don’t understand the table on the getfpv website.

Nice work +CHARPU FPV ! Didn’t know the QAV250 came with those wrapping
thingies to protect against wet grass and such. I actually built something
similar for my Blackout Mini H today, but mainly to protect the quad from
getting filled with snow in a crash! Grass is not a problem over here right
    now :-)

Listen…I surely hope all the new people getting into quads and fpv follow
the damn rules. Especially after this Christmas, after everyone gets an
overpriced pre-made copter. Please! Don’t be stupid, fly in a safe area
away from people, don’t go near restricted air space, etc and so on. Also,
educate those around you if you can. Hysteria is a seriously powerful
thing in our society due to media outlets. So,if you mess up it’ll brand
    the whole hobby.

Well I know what my new years resolution is! This is so awesome! I just
bought a cheap one on amazon last night! I’ll get me practice in, and then
    dive right into this!

Very nice video. This should help a lot of people getting into the hobby!

nice Job guys, I bet +CHARPU FPV does not like flying LOS much. BTW can we
get your Naze32 settings please? Thanks

+CHARPU FPV Great job again, quite hard to get all the details across, but
you did well to summarise the key points.

about time you get into real quad-copters…

You guys should do something with Flight Test’s channel.

you all need to know that you do not have to spend all that money on a
fancy quad like that this is almost as good and is way cheeper this comes
whith everything you need other than fpv gear and a radio tx

Thank you guys for posting this! As soon as I finished watching the FPV
racing video I was dying to know how it was assembled.

very cool vid, the first one you did totally got me hooked.
Would say though that the one they built was just under 850 and then the
other was probably more expensive, but you can definitely also go cheaper
with not too significant of a performance drop. For beginners this may be
better as you don’t really need the extreme performance and it reduces the
    entry cost.

Check out rctestflight channel, in particular the cheap 250 quad build vid.
About $180 for basic quad and then you can find some fpv gear and
transmitter. Cost depending on how much you want to commit.

I would also recommend the syma x5c for learning how to fly quads. Smashing
up a $800 quad as a beginner is not a good idea when you can get one of
these for around $50. I got one and they are perfect for learning with,
also extra battery or two with these will keep you in the air longer and
allow to practice with fewer interruptions.

How much does it code to get an advertising slot like this on Tested?

  20. Humboldt71022 December, 2014 at 4:52 pm

Mine is almost complete! Can’t wait! Lumenier FTW!

  21. KustomFu22 December, 2014 at 4:45 pm

wow these things are like a real life video game!

  22. inactionjackson22 December, 2014 at 4:27 pm

I want to get into this, but isn’t it illegal now? With the newest FCC
regulations it seems like you can only do this if you have a commercial
    pilot’s license and all that.

To wait or not to wait for youtube processing, that is the question.

  24. renzo26022 December, 2014 at 4:14 pm

Awesome! Time to get some parts together and start building! :)
