This got me fired up to start finishing some projects in my backyard.
    Summer is coming, after all.

I could use some help with a gas fire pit. I’ve got a large pit with a gas
line running directly from the meter to the pit. So far, the pit is just
stubbed out and I’ve been putting off getting burners/fire rings, mainly
because they’re going to be crazy expensive for how big this thing is. One
thing I haven’t been able to find though: When putting the fire rings under
sand/rock, how far below the sand should the burners be buried? I know too
high will defeat the purpose, but too deep can cause explosions and other
    problems. Tips?
