I’d agree, but the defined “crime” isn’t a real crime unless it involves theft, injury to a person or their property or fraud. So……the real criminals are not the ones that are put into the prisons, and in fact, they are often the ones that are putting other people in the prisons. Then there is the fraud in banking, and other crony capitalist violations of peoples property. A truly free market is another threat to the powerful…so we don’t have that either.

The “justice” system is just a tool for the powerful to control the population. Those that have political power are not prosecuted for real crimes but ordinary people are put in a cage for what? For disobeying the State. Judges and prosecutors are now attempting to force jury’s into rubber stamping convictions. The message is clear: “shut up and obey”. This country is no longer slipping into tyranny. We are deep into it.

How is this reporter so completely uninformed? Did she really ask if their was an alternative to this rather than “wasting” tax payers money? How much do you think it costs the tax payer to house hundreds of thousand of non violent criminals in jail?

Our Government and our local judicial system fear Jury Nullification. I know, I spent 3 1/2 months in jail because I handed out Jury Nullification Fliers on the Courthouse steeps. I was sentenced by Judge Belvin Perry, in Orange County Florida.

    “Is it legal?”

    . . . yeah.

If this government is of, by and for the people then the people are the primary power. The government should not be the alien, tyrannical, violent thing it has become. Government is supposed to protect people; not hurt them.

    People not prosecuting bullshit laws?

You mean . . . rationality and empathy?!
